After 10 years as a qualified horticulturist in landscape and golf course management, real estate has been my life ever since. Starting out in real estate with Bassett-Scarfe Realty, a family owned and operated business in Mandurah, Western Australia, I was taught the importance of honesty and moral ethics in real estate and that how important these facets were to the longevity and success in the industry. I was extremely fortunate to be exposed to and involved in the sale of a wide range of properties from rural lifestyle, the Mandurah canals, land developments (Pleasant Grove, Chittering), strata, high rise apartments (One Brighton) and all in between. I was also given an opportunity to be involved in the complete process of land development, which was extremely valuable and rewarding.
After starting off with a small property management portfolio and one employee, 4 years later has seen us expand rapidly to now include the Port Lincoln Franchise, a more than tripling of our property management portfolio and an increase to 4 staff. We have also maintained around 50% of sales market share for Tumby Bay over the past 7 years and have grown the Port Lincoln franchise substantially.
This has been attributable to our staffs unwavering commitment to hard work, great customer service and an eye for a point of difference in our offering to clients.
After 9 years in real estate, I still get excited to get out of bed every morning to go to work knowing everyday in real estate is different, I have the privilege of meeting and working with so many people and appreciate working in such a unique and broad ranging career.
We continue to introduce new techniques and products to our business to enhance our client offering and experience whilst striving for positive client experiences.
We also sponsor and donate to numerous sporting clubs, charities and not for profit groups within our communities where we strongly believe in supporting the community that supports us.
